We love being victorious in this life, whether it's in a sport or by overcoming some sort of challenge. Yet all of our victories in this world are tainted and even cut short by one common factor… death. Today, we rejoice in Jesus' resurrection from the dead. It changed everything. Jesus hasn't merely rescued us from a world gone bad. He has given us a resurrection to a world that will be forever good. This means that even as we wipe away the tears that death still causes, we can proclaim with confidence the one thing that has overcome death: Christ is risen! He is risen indeed!
