Jesus promised the Holy Spirit to his Church after he ascended into heaven. Through the Holy Spirit, Jesus is closer to his people than ever before. God the Holy Spirit is always working behind the scenes through God's powerful Word. Even as we meet here today, the Holy Spirit works powerfully in our hearts, minds, and lives through the life-giving Word of God.
