Usually, we want to avoid suffering. Some might say, in fact, that a good reason to become a Christian is to avoid suffering in your life. In some ways that may be true. Yet Jesus says that we can expect to suffer as we follow him in this life. Where's the glory in that? This Sunday, we will see that even in our suffering there is a glory that is hidden. In Jesus, we see this hidden glory and are strengthened to follow him, even in suffering.
