At the heart of every temptation is the promise of a shortcut to glory. Almost everyone agrees that the shortest and easiest path to glory is the best. Nothing could be further from the truth when it comes to our salvation. Thankfully, our Savior didn't take any shortcuts when it came to saving us. Now, as we follow him, we realize that the crosses of suffering in this world will come before the crown of glory that he has secured for us. His determination helps us look forward to that glorious victory with confidence.
